I was lucky enough to visit some of the best beaches before they had any form of development. I still believe that the bay of Oludeniz has one of the most impressive beaches in the whole of Turkey. At this time the accommodation was fairly simple and mainly operated by Turkish families. However things have changed and these families along with many International investors have now built quality holiday resort hotels. Turkey has the advantage of not having hundreds of dated holiday hotels [ as in Spain ]. It can start with a clean canvas and if it does it correctly could have a good strong hold over the next few years. We shall see. I worked in Turkey in the late 80′s and mid 90′s.
